Senior business majors at ��ݮӰ�� scored in the 95th percentile on this year’s ETS Major Field Tests, a national exam used to benchmark undergraduate business programs.

��ݮӰ��’s students demonstrated particularly strong performance in accounting (97th percentile), finance (96th percentile), and international issues (95th percentile). Additional areas of strength included marketing (93rd percentile), legal and social issues (92nd percentile), information systems (90th percentile), as well as solid performance in economics and management (both 89th percentile). These results reflect strength across the breadth of the business curriculum.

“Our business students achieved performance in the 95th percentile, consistent with — and exceeding — our strong seven-year average of 91%,” said Dr. Dwight Ham, chair of ��ݮӰ��’s business administration department.

“Equally encouraging, the results reflect strength across the major assessment areas, with several categories exceeding long-term averages, indicating that our curriculum is not only effective but continuing to move in the right direction in both depth and integration.”

According to its website, ETS Major Field Tests are designed to go beyond the measurement of factual knowledge by helping evaluate students’ ability to analyze and solve problems, understand relationships, and interpret material from their major field of study.

More fundamentally, Ham believes that these results demonstrate the faithful investment of ��ݮӰ��’s business faculty.

“This outcome is a direct reflection of your commitment in the classroom — your diligence in teaching, mentoring, and challenging our students to think critically and perform at a high level,” Ham wrote to ��ݮӰ��’s business faculty.

“Congratulations to each of you for this outstanding achievement. We give our Lord all the glory for His continued blessing on the work being done in our business department.”
